About me

A recent fiction MFA graduate from Georgia College and State University, soon to relocate in summer 2018. Before migrating south, I graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania with a BS in English and minors in communication and literature. I have worked as a writing consultant and teaching fellow for three years, teaching introductory writing courses to first-year undergraduate students. I was also the managing editor and layout artist of SLAB, a literary journal. I served as the managing editor of Arts & Letters and an associate editor of 2040 Books, an imprint of Santa Fe Writers Project that publishes and promotes books by writers of color. I copyedited content and laid out book interiors using Adobe InDesign for both of these organizations. I have freelanced as a graphic designer for five years creating posters, promotional materials, labels, ePUB conversions for published books, and other documents, and I spent a summer writing ad copy and newsletter content for the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council as an intern. Post-graduation, I look forward to heading back up north to continue my writing and editing career in New England.
